'Post-Op Nursing' is a quality, affordable business based out of Charleston, South Carolina that currently services the Charleston, Dorchester, and Berkeley County areas. We offer at-home care for individuals immediately after any elective procedure. Our standard package includes overnight care , which extends until 9-11am the day after your surgery, with an additional check-up that same evening. A certified nurse will monitor and quickly identify any problems that might arise during the first 24 hours post elective surgeries that often require an anesthesia. Hiring a certified nurse adds an extra layer of comfort, peace of mind, and safety to your recovery process. You don't have to worry about leaving the hospital since a certified nurse will be there to monitor and take care of you in the comfort of your own home. You get the best of both worlds: professional, medical staff in a relaxing, familiar atmosphere.
Meet June Thorpe, RN
In 1985, June graduated from the University of South Carolina, acquiring her Bachelor of Science Nursing (BSN) degree. In 1981, before getting fully licensed as a nurse, June operated as a nurse technician for two years at William's Jennings Bryan Dorne, a Veteran's Hospital in Colombia, SC.
Once she was fully licensed, June moved to Charleston, SC, where she worked as a nurse at Roper Hospital for over twenty years. She spent much of her time in the Emergency Room (ER) and Intensive Care Unit (ICU). She is certified in Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS) and Basic Life Support (BLS).
After retiring from Roper Hospital, June spent a decade overseas in Europe, where she taught English in the southern part of France. She values her fluency in French as it allows her to work seamlessly with French-speaking clients.

June eventually returned back to the States to live and work in Charleston, SC, where her mission in life is to heal. Using her extensive nursing skill-set, June provides peace of mind and quality at-home care for individuals who are recovering after an elective surgery.
